Rehabilitation Services

The VNA-Hospice of Southern Carroll County & Vicinity, Inc. is staffed by licensed and experienced Physical Therapists, Physical Therapy Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants and a Speech Pathologist.

Our Physical Therapy Department provides the following services:

• Vestibular Therapy
• Core Stabilization
• Myofascial Release
• General Orthopedic and Joint replacements
• Generalized Weakness
• Fall Prevention
• Neurological Disorders

Our Occupational Therapy Department provides the following services:

• Retraining in the Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s)
• Orthopedic Rehabilitation with emphasis on the Shoulder, Elbow, and Hand
• Neurological Disorders
• Environmental Modifications and Assessment to maximize client safety
• Cardiac/Respiratory Rehabilitation with Energy Conservation Training
• Cognitive Retraining
• Recommendations and Training with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) to maximize independence with daily tasks

Our Speech Therapy Department provides the following services:

• Speech and Language Disorders
• Cognitive and Neurological Disorders
• Dysphagia Therapy
• VitalStim Therapy ( www.vitalstimtherapy.com)

Rehabilitation Services are covered under the Medicare Home Health Benefit.
